The following is our attempt to be as transparent as possible in identifying the design, performance, and materials used for the MTC products.  We don’t claim to be the “BEST”, that is for you to determine, but they are all our best efforts.  Shooting has become an expensive sport and it is appropriate to disclose everything that is included in your commitment of funds & expectations. 

Some descriptions with more details are included in the “Gallary” section.  They are placed there so the size can be increased for easier reading.

MTC Standard Wind Flag

No product configuration changes are offered.  Performance guarantee is based on the standard MTC designs. 

Propellers & Dasiy Wheels are not offered.  Do not attempt to add them, they can act as flywheels attempting to stabilize the flag while disrupting clean air from reaching the tail/fin.   Generally, they are slow to start and slow to stop.  Unless balanced they will cause the flag to shake.  In most situations, the MTC Wind Flag will respond to the wind’s energy before a Daisy Wheel, propeller or streamer/ribbon begins to move. 

Ideally, a streamer/ribbon should not be attached directly to the tail/fin.  The design of a wind flag should not rely upon the movement of a streamer/ribbon to control the direction displayed.  That is the job & purpose of the tail/fin.

All MTC Wind Flags are pre-configured for the Independent Streamer Attachment.  Excessively long and/or stiff streamers/ribbons tend to control directional accuracy beyond the tail/fin ability.   These streamers/ribbons require energy, resulting in delays or displaying already past activity.  Lightweight streamers/ribbons are raised by the wind & gravity pulls them down.  It’s never-ending.  They are good for displaying wind movement, but little else.
