Here are some of the letters and emails I received over the years. In respect and request for privacy, I have removed the last names of those that wrote. The Emails are Semi-Edited (Shortened only).
- Alex – London, TN Got to find a better way to transport flags. I am working on a cart and will send pictures. Thanks for the big discount on the replacement that I destroyed closing the car door.
- Jackie – Topeka, KS I know what you are going thru with your wife. My husband had a stroke this year with similar problems. Thanks for the mug. He loves his and so do I like mine.
- Lacy – Sacramento, Ca Love the coffee cup, Get Your Shot Together is perfect.
- Loran – Jackson, FL Size does matter, I shoot 22’s and use your 10″ flags for positions 1 and 2 and a 12″ last the last position. I like the red and yellow, they stand out. Are you holding your prices?
- Jessie – Dallas, TX Amazing, love that up-and-down thing.
- Rex – Omaha, NB Can you print my name on the coffee mugs?
- Jim – Redding, CA Long wait, but well worth it. They perform beautifully and the extras are special. The Uppy Downy and the measuring tools are unique. I have the best working and looking flags on the range. Many people want to buy them, not for sale. Please send business cards.
- J.D. – Pisquaty, NJ You think it’s cold in Oklahoma? Try New Jersey for a day or two, I fully understand your shop conditions and am eagerly waiting for warm weather and my new MTC wind flags.
- Gene – MO Haven’t had any problem with the swivel, it’s reassuring to have a backup. Thanks for thinking ahead about a possible problem. I don’t think any other wind flag seller would do that.
- Orvis – L.A. CA I am an experienced machinist and new bench rest shooter. I saw two match-winners using your flags. Because they are expensive, I attempted to duplicate them. My advice to anyone is don’t even try. After about $200 and three weeks I am not finished and don’t have everything I need. Your wind flags are much more technically complicated than the pictures show. I have stopped attempting to make my own. Please, please send me four of the 12 in long tails.
- Patty and Auther – Brisbane, Australia We like your flag a lot. My husband tried to duplicate it and after a whole day of trying he gave up. They are very expensive to ship to here in Australia, but I would like to finish out my set and order a full set for my husband. We think you have made the perfect short-range wind flag. Good job mate.
- Elliot – Susanville, CA I heard a rumor that someone up north s going to start making Uppy Downys. You need to get pictures of yours posted again. I suspect they will change their mind after they see yours. Remember me, I bought mine from you in 2012. It still works like new.
- Louis – Jackson, FL Nearly impossible to calculate the wind force at an angle. Thanks for designing the crosswind flag. It’s more accurate and faster than I can calculate from the two colored ball on the front of my wind flag. I got tired of guessing mostly wrong.
- Morice – Stockton, CA Are you the guy from Simi Valley California that made the Tracker Wind Flags? I have been looking everywhere and have found none I could buy. The owners will not sell them, Except I did eventually get two and they are in bad sha[e, can you update them? Hope you are the right guy, Thanks
- Patty – Brisbane, Australia Please send one of your Standard 12-inch Wind Flags. I want to see what I get for $80 US Dollars before I order more. The mate that was using yours wouldn’t share anything about them with anybody. I had a hard time finding your website, I looked for MTC everywhere.
- Patty – Brisbane, Australia I saw your flags here Sunday. Nicely compared well with our BRT’s. They can’t say they are the only ones with bearings anymore.
- James – Fresno, CA I have three sets of wind flags, I thought I needed them for different wind conditions. Using yours for the past year has proven me wrong. The two sets are going up for sale before anybody sees how good the MTC wind flags are. I would like to have a backup of the 12″.
- John Jr.- Oklahoma City, OK Thanks for making the special adapters. I thought I had to buy new posts again.
- Chris – Tacoma, WA What is your delivery time? I ordered 2 wind flags from a local provider. Six weeks and I haven’t gotten them or even a status. I have asked for a refund, but no response. Hope I am not out $130. Then I found out that I need special adapters and didn’t order them before I can use them at more cost. Does yours come with adapters?
- Butch – Springfield, MO I wanted to thank you for convincing me that the ball-bearing adapters would make a difference. I thought the wind was just blowing differently at different places. Now with your adapters, my flags work together and I can trust them. Just one more thing I don’t have to worry about.
- Jacob – Ft. Smith, AR Didn’t expect the sample of your new wind flag adapter with the bearings. Here is what I found out, WOW my flag is so much better, I had no idea that this little thing would make such a difference. It made them act smooth and almost fluid in its action. I am hesitant to share my discovery with anyone as I now have an advantage. Please invoice me for the sample and send 3 more in red. Do you want the adapters that I bought for my flags? Sorry I didn’t get yours first.
- Russell – Trenton, NJ Thanks for the sample, I tried it today and it is much better than the adapter made by the wind flag maker. No longer is my flag hearty, jerky just smooth and deliberate. It seems to be more sensitive, Allow me to pay for the sample and send 3 more same red as the sample.
- Mel – Phoenix, AZ I saw a really cool thing for balancing wind flags at the range last Saturday. The owner said he got it from you and he has had it for several years. Is it still available and how much? He said everybody uses it. I offered him $50, he refused.
- Lucas – Ghent, Belgium Very nice, sold some already please advise when more up/down are available. Good received by customers.
- Berry – New York, NY Look at your site something is wrong with the photographs.
- Jason – Ft, Worth, TX You might be losing sales because some don’t understand that your quarter-inch post is just as good as a three-sixteenth post. Mine works great and I never have to worry about bending it.
- Amber – New Bern, NC My husband thinks the 1/4 inch stem is too big for a wind flag. I don’t, send me two and an invoice, thanks.
- Allen – Wilmington, NC All of your pictures are gone. I was trying to order.
- Jackson – St. Louis, MO Look on youtube they got something about websites being hacked.
- Leon – St. Pete, FL Sorry to see you lost so much it was a beautiful website.
- Janice – Austin, TX Are you going to make the balancing tool again? There are a couple at the range here in Texas but no one is willing to sell them.
- Robert – Gunnison, CO. Don’t worry about Ian ?M, he’s an idiot and hasn’t got a clue about target shooting.
- Janice – Austin, TX Thanks for the pink and black. I really like the “Girls Can Shoot”
- Lou – Spokane, WA I have a set of XXX wind flags and the front is made of a round wooden ball. They are starting to split, showing cracks and the black paint is beginning to chip off. I had to buy special adapters for them and they have to be used for individual wind flags, not interchangeable and the space between them and the wind flag is terrible. It is expensive to replace them so can you provide a reasonable cost solution? The balls are heavy and glued on.
- Jack – Los Angels, CA. Mine broke, but it took 9 years. Thanks for the replacements and the big discount. I sure like the upgrades, especially the metal tail material.
- Ian – ? Colorado No proof of your wind flags. Quack, Quack
- Victor – London, TN Glad you took it to the limit. I love them.
- Lucas – Ghent, Belgium My English is not good I speak French and German only. I am the propriety of a target shooting shop. How many of your things can be sent to Belgium? We use the Euro here and I will require the shipping and insurance cost. And the number of each available. I have many interests about your items.
- Jarom – Gunnison, CO Just got the Verticle Flag all I can say is WOW.
- Oscar – Sacramento, CA Saw that you purchased other products for comparison to yours, can you list the results of those tests?
- Perry – Gallup, NM Think I found some of your flags. No identification on them? Looks like those on your website with different colors. Are these yours in the picture?
- Jeff – Spokane, WA Why would I buy cheap wind flags, when I have $6,000 in my rifle? Trackers are a good and necessary investment if you’re really serious.
- Jackie – Austin, TX Can you make me a set of 4 like those you made for Janice L.? My other wind flags didn’t last very long.
- Pete – Visalia, CA Extreme Sensitivity Sucks. MTC’s are calm, precise and accurate without all the shaking and unnecessary jittering. I don’t use a daisy anymore. Just like you said. Your streamer attachment works better.
- Audry – Visalia, CA I think I have a picture of my dad with your wind flags. If you want a copy call me at 429-XXX-XXXX
- Mickie – Piscataway, NJ Thanks for returning my call, sorry about the idiot you have to deal with on the internet. Sounds like the fool from Colorado is not a shooter anyway. Hard to believe that no one has come up with the ideas you have put into your flags. Maybe they aren’t machinists.
- Larry – Lincoln, NB I was impressed by how you analyzed every function of the tools you make and how those results were applied. I didn’t see this effort on any other wind-related shooting equipment being sold. I made the right choice.
- Meral – Mesa, AZ Nice, my MTC flag begins to react to the wind before the streamer does.
- Jim – Mesa, AZ Why don’t you make wind flag stuff for air rifles? I found one from here in Arizona selling for over $300. Saw it blown over by the wind and it was destroyed, never to work again. The thing was going crazy trying to be extremely sensitive. None of us could figure out what it was trying to do. But we did have a good laugh.
- No Name – Cinn, OH I don’t think you make wind flags.
- Larry – Chandler, AZ Last week at Ben Avery we saw two Windicator wind flags fall over and were damaged beyond use. A lot of money for a tool that can’t stand up to a fall, Should have read your recommendation for using something heavy for the tripod. Just dumb.
- Allen – Wilmington, NC Gadgets don’t make ideas better. Everything on your flags has a purpose and really impressed with the straightforward design.
- Raymond – Red Bluff, CA Is everything shown on your website “mtcshooting.com” included? Are there any options like colors?
- Orville – Las Vegas, NV I have four sets of wind flags and I only trust the MTC Trackers.
- Ray – Topeka, KS You get what you pay for. Looking at other wind flags MTC is a great deal. Wish I had bought yours first. Is anyone looking for eight used XXXX wind flags?
- Clark – Hawthorne, CA Can’t understand why most wind flags sold are said to be extremely sensitive and then suggesting tilting them backward toward the vane to slow the shaking. Don’t people know that this is adding friction and slowing down the response? Extreme Sensitivity appears to be confusing and maybe not correctly used too many times. Looks like MTC has solved this. My MTC flags are 4 years old and I use them a lot. Thanks for coming up with many better ideas.
- Jerry – Lincoln, NB Difficult to transport, but the performance is worth the trouble. I have an idea for a tote if you are interested. Like the flag numbers, large enough to see.
- Jerry – Lincoln, NB So very cool. I like the in and out wind direction indicator. Being reversible I choose the white side for outgoing. No other flag does this. Did you make it adjustable so it won’t block the wind from reaching the tail? Impressive arrow logo graphics.
- Jack – Visalia, CA I still have a couple of your $25 dollar flags. About time to upgrade, they served me well. I am ordering 5 this time.
- Mike – New Bern, NC Expensive, with a lot of machine work and best materials. Good choice. Best choice.
- Clark – Hawthorne, CA Read where if you break or shoot a Daisy Wheel, just cut off the opposite blade. Don’t they understand that an unbalanced Daisy Wheel will shake? These are the same ones that don’t know how strong wind energy is. As you wrote it’s a GUESS.
- Vince – Chandler, AZ Bought some used wind flags cheap. Can you fix them? I can send more pictures.
- Joey – Tucson, AZ Saw you shoot 80 on Saturday at Southwest Regional. Think I got to get a 7BR pistol.
- Perry – Gallup NM Can’t find anybody using your wind flags.
- Gene – Long Beach, CA Quick, stable and accurate. Thanks
- Larry – Ft. Worth, TX Thanks for explaining everything. I now do shoot and score better now, thanks.
- Oscar – Sacramento, CA Didn’t realize how much wind was coming from the top & bottom. How did you come up with replacing the plastic cardboard with aluminum for the tail fin? Is it really lighter?
- Berry – New York City, NY Kinda thought they were expensive until I realized everything that is included. A much better complete wind flag than the $50 – $70 ones. How can I pay?
- Jeff – Dallas, TX I now understand why you don’t make custom wind flags, they are perfect.
- Jerry Jr. – Milwaukie WI I don’t own any MTC wind flags, but I made adjustments based on your descriptions and they work better. I didn’t know that was possible.
- Ben – Terlingua, TX Thanks for the free repair, I won’t shoot it again, and thanks for the brick weighted tripod idea and cool new arrows.
- Loni – Dallas, TX My husband or I haven’t had a flyer since we have been using your rim measuring tool. Our ARA scores have greatly increased.
- Graham – Phoenix, AZ Sold mine years ago, dumb idea, saw the latest ones on your web. I will be ordering soon, makes me want to shoot bench rest again.
- Mickie – Piscataway, NJ I got the best-looking wind flags on the range. Excellent working too.
- Larry – Omaha, NB Never realized how important balance is.
- Oscar – Sacramento, CA Thanks, I got tired of trying to estimate the percentage of the flag tail for crosswinds.
- Gene – Long Beach, CA When are you going to put training wheels, lights and turn signals on your flags? Thinking about ordering a long-range flag.
- Graham – Phoenix, AZ Wow, 40 with a 10″ 7TCU Contender. Size doesn’t matter.
- Pat – San Diego, CA I hope everybody reads your descriptions, I learned a lot. Love my Tracker flags.
- Eric – Jyvaskia, Finland Are you, German? Looks like German engineering.
- Benjamin – Topeka, KS High price for some things. Very very good quality, excellent workmanship and worth the price. I get a lot of questions about MTC at the range.
- Danial – San Fransico, CA Best long-range wind flag, big, bold, visible, perfect.
- Oscar – Sacramento, CA You are right numbers are better than dots or colors.
- Eric – Jyvaskia, Finland Please provide seller cost and shipping for 12 sets of all your products in Euro.
- Arron – Sunnyvale, CA Impressive website
- Jeff – Spokane, WA The MTC Trackers have set a new standard for wind reading and understanding,.
- Berry – New York, NY Saw your crosswind flag here upstate last week and I got to have one. When can you ship?
- Mort – Mesa, AZ Took me a long time to find MTC. I have three of your old flags with no name on them. Please invoice me for one MTC Tracker Wind Flag. We shot together at Rio Salido and Ben Avery. I didn’t know you were MTC.
- Milissa – Somerville, CO I need new tails for my wind flags. Is the screw attachment the same and can I order different colors? Will you include hardware?
- Ray – Fremont, CA So original. I want a backup for my set.
- Greg – Phoenix, AZ Lots of hard hits at Ben Avery. What were you shooting?
- Jeffery – Felton, NV Many innovative tools. I am working on a complete set.
- Arron – Sunnyvale, CA Never realized that making a wind flag settle down by favoring the back was only adding friction. What is this EXTREME SENSITIVITY always being talked about? Glad you explained it. “BEWARE”
- Jackson – Tucson, AZ Did you see the guy shoot his flags on purpose Sunday? Get ready for an order from him. He was asking about MTC. I gave him your name and my only business card. It was an old one.
